Project Summary: This house a fair amount of rotted cedar siding and trim and needed to be painted. An estimate for this was almost $20,000. After researching James Hardie and the value it brought to the home in terms of maintenance and re-sale value they decided to move forward with replacing the siding and trim. There was no solid substrate under the siding so OSB was installed over the studs followed by house wrap and then siding. The finished product was fantastic. Not only is it functional but beautiful as well. This elimiates the need for costly maintenance and will save money moving forward.
